Acucobol changes name to Acucorp, Inc.

SAN DIEGO- March 9, 1998 - To emphasize its broadening product line and set the pace for the future of COBOL development, Acucobol, a leading provider of portable, open-system COBOL development tools, has changed its corporate name to Acucorp, Inc. The name change, effective immediatley, reflects the fact that Acucorp has taken COBOL well beyond its expected boundaries. The future addition of new development tools to Acucorp's product family, including enhandced Internet and client/server solutions, will take COBOL even further from its 1960's heritage. Acucorp's professional development tools give the experienced COBOL programmer full access to Graphical User Interfaces, Relational Databases, and the Internet - all while entirely in a COBOL environment. Once compiled, code is portable to over 600 platforms.

Acucorp's core products include a GUI Development System, Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) access tools, Client/Server capabilities and Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) support. Future products will provide further Internet capabilities, increased Client/Server functionality, and an integrated development environment.
