Reiw Elektroonika Corporation Provides Y2K Services from Eastern Europe

International operation seeks to organize up 20,000 programmers

The company has developed an international operation involving five countries. They are currently organizing up to 20,000 Veteran Programmers to deal with the World's Y2K Crisis. Reiw has international managers working now in Eastern European and Baltic countries that to collect CV's from Experienced Veteran Programmers. They are professionally testing and developing a database with all their related experience and accurate numbers of programmers available.

The Company has over 100 Programmers available now.

Mr. Dean Edward Greenwood (Canadian), the Reiw Y2K North American & UK Project Manager, will be on the West Coast of USA after May 24th, 1998. He will post his East Coast Schedule when it is final. He will be available to schedule personal meetings to discuss Y2K Solutions.

The company provides alternative models of working:

  1. The programmers willing to travel can work directly for client companies. These names are supplied on a finder fee basis.
  2. Contracted work is done in Reiw Y2K software labs in Eastern Europe and Baltic Countries.

The company sites the following reasons why a company would use offshore software labs for code remediation:

  1. Shortage of Programmers worldwide!
  2. Contract rates that are lower than the industry standard of demanding programmers.
  3. Speed. The company plans to convert millions of lines of code in weeks instead of months or years. They say that a project can be completed over 90 percent quicker by groups of programmers working 24 hour a day in shifts.
  4. Reduced Risk. They work on a down payment portion of the contract and the rest goes into trust until they have completed their part of the contract.
  5. Reduced benefits and software costs.
